About Ballina Painting Service

Since 1982, Ballina Painting Service has provided professional paintwork to commercial, construction, industrial and residential clients throughout Ballina, Lennox Head and the Northern Rivers region.

Established by his father, Steve Davy, owner Craig took over the business and built from a two-man operation to a company with 5 paint contractors. As well as working throughout the Northern Rivers, Craig is also a licensed as a painter and decorator in Queensland.

With more than 30 years' combined experience, our local employees and apprentices have an extensive knowledge of painting techniques, including:

  • Roof coatings
  • Spray painting
  • Airless spraying

  • Brush applications
  • Roller applications
  • Protective coatings

Because we live locally, we understand how important is to use the correct paint products that withstand the harsh weather conditions and last. For the best finishes on homes, strata properties, shops and factories, our contractors use only the very best products from leading brands such as Dulux, Solver, Haymes and Wattyl. We also use oils from Intergrain for all timber surfaces.

Check out our gallery to view images before and after our paint jobs. For an obligation-free quote, contact Craig today!

FAQ

How do I remove mould from walls?

Mould is often caused by excess moisture and is found in damp areas that don't get much natural light or are poorly ventilated. This can happen in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries for interior surfaces, or on exterior walls with low quality painting or timber that hasn't been primed.

To test for mould, apply a few drops of household bleach to areas that are black, grey, brown or slightly discoloured. If these drops disappear, this is a good indication of mildew. Scrub the mould effected areas using a diluted bleach solution. Make sure to wear rubber gloves and eye protection. Afterwards, rinse the wall and remove any moisture wherever possible. Once your interior or exterior walls are dry, we recommend priming them and applying protective coatings.
